Looking for a water resistant 'sandbag'
Quoted text begins. For water-resistant sandbags, I've seen sculptors use tire inner tubes,
but if anyone has tried tire inner tubes, I'd be
curious as to the result.
End of quote.
It works just fine.
Different sizes of inner tube, different lengths of inner tube allow
arrangements for various shapes of stone.
I have not noticed any black stains from the rubber, and would not worry
about it.
I also use inner tube cut into strips, or better still cycle inner tube
as ties for holding plaster moulds together whenever I do any casting.
