carving alone
Well it's summer time here in the ole south and that's a time that I
spend in as much solitary carving as I can. We spend a fair amount of
time on this list talking about safety issues and I've always felt that
carving alone with my diamond blade equipped grinders was a bit risky.
Not really much of an option though if I want to get work done but I
always carve with my cell phone in my pocket so that if something
happens I can always call an ambulance. If I'm working with really
"dusty" stone, I"ll put the phone in a plastic bag in my pocket, but
usually I just have it in my pocket. Just a tip that I wanted to pass
on -- anyone else have any others for solitary carvers? atb, g
