About diamond blades
Quoted text begins. My question is about diamond blades.
End of quote.
Richard,
I think if you search the archives you will find several threads about
diamond blades. I too work mostly with limestone, and to tell the truth,
the diamond blades that I have spend most of their time hanging on the tool
room wall. In the softer stone, I use fiber (carborundum) masonry cut off
blades and saw blades about 99.9% of the time.
The thing that you need to concider when purchasing a diamond blade is the
type of material you want to cut. Blades made for granite, other hard
stone, and I suspect concrete will not cut the softer (limestone, Marble)
stones very well. On the other hand, blades made for the softer stone will
not last very long in the harder stuff. Something to do with the matrix
and how it is attached to the blade. Then you also need to decide on
segmented or continuous rim blades. In otherwords, in diamond blade
technology, "one size" most definitly does not " fit all"
