Sorry, but not true. Dolomite consists of calcium-magnesium carbonate in
a precise 1:1 combination. Magnesite is pure magnesium carbonate and it
doesn't often form a very suitable stone for carving.
Dolomite and calcite limestones and marbles may all have attractive
working properties but knowing what is what can be helpful in terms of
outdoor longevity.
