Quartzite, Diorite, silica in general
I'm new to the Stone List, so hello all. I'm a sculptor but have generally
worked in additive methods for the last five years, clay and paper mostly.
Recently, I moved to Idaho, the Lemhi valley to be exact and I find myself
surrounded by the Rocky mountains and very appropriately named I might add.
I've already gathered a number of tools that are effective for carving,
cutting, grinding, and drilling stone but then I find that the stones
available are of the harder varieties along with high silica content.
So I need a dust mask but what kind? I'm doubtful that regular stretch
strap paper ones will be adequate.
