Moving 3000lbs?
hi all,
Two answers: get a truck with a Hiab or similar crane, if you are worried
about leaving marks on the grass or similar put down heavy duty ply.
I move this kind of weight with my Jeep, just attach a sling and drive off
in 4x4. If I want to get the lump of stone into my studio, I attach a long
hi-tech rope, "laser rope" stronger than steel cable with the
characteristics of normal rope, to the sling, have pulley inside the studio,
pass the rope through it and then attach it to the Jeep, I drive off in the
opposite direction and the stone hurtles towards the studio!!! a bit
frightening when rock and Jeep pass each other both going the same speed!!!
of course there's a pretty noticeable furrow in my yard.
All the best Clive
