Ringing Stones
good on you, Bill. amazing stuff you come up with.
you and others who found the ringing stones intriguing would be
interested to learn about some 19th century English Rock Bands that
used such stones to produce not only sounds, but music. the latter
of the three links has (present day) recordings of music made from
one of these "lithophones." I've also read somewhere that the
Kalahari Bushmen from a certain region used stones to make music and
now I recall hearing of a "sonic" temple in India
(www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/India/photo408346.htm )
(and in Hawaii -

- a modern Hindu Temple built entirely with stone quarried and shaped
with hand tools).
undoubtedly there are other peoples, other places, other times where
such stones were used in such a way
