Ringing Stones
Bill,
Thanks for the sites. The subject brings back the memories of stacks of
granite slabs from all around the world. Different thickness with their own
ring, making my ears hurt from hours of stroking off great satisfying spall
with a 3 pounder becoming part of my hand. The ringing bong of a 10" thick ,
10 ' long slab of India black being split with my partner swinging a 10
pound hammer onto my 10 pound splitter that wants to dance away into
polished areas ,, still rings in my head.
