I have always carved. As a child I carved wood and broke stones open out of curiosity. Fortunately, I discovered stone sculpture in college in 1976, and have been growing as an artist ever since. I now break stones open with the curiosity of a child, and fulfill the need to create stone sculpture that expresses my feelings and emotions. Abstract, realistic, organic and figurative styles have blended together for me. I follow my instincts and carve until my head, heart and hands are satisfied. My studio is located in Batavia, western New York. Contact and visits are always welcome. You can see past work and ongoing projects at the web site.
Location: USA (New York).

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. Making dust is my personal creation story. My sculpture is a modern-era tale of enlightenment. It may simply be my own illumination that is achieved - I can live with that. If my visual description is persuasive, the viewer will see a glimmer of light radiating from these forms and then look inside themselves for their meaning.

Figurative sculpture and relief in high detail as a preference. “There must be recognized, a relationship. As with all relationships, one of commitment, understanding, respect and patience. These, ”materials”, are not merely inanimate objects. They are from the sacred earth. Living, growing, and changing constantly on a level far beyond our comprehension. Therefore, we must learn not to oppose and force them to our desire, but learn from them what is required by us to guide that relationship to the desired result.”
