Celebrating the sculpture of Richard Jaworowski. Whether it is the sensuous expression of the human form, or the curve of an abstract piece, Richard's work resonates with an inherent sensual power. Richard has been a sculptor for over 30 years, and he carves primarily in Vermont marble. Richard's sculptures are included in many public and private collections throughout the United States, including the Museum of Art and Science in Daytona Beach, Florida; KPMG Peat Marwick in Hartford and Stamford, Connecticut; Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts; and the University of Connecticut Medical Center.

This site is about letter cutting and low relief sculpture. I make plaques, house names and headstones. I also make individual pieces of stonework for homes and gardens. These include birdbaths, sundial stands and benches. I treat each commission as an individual work of art. I recently won an award from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust. I began stonecarving with the Portland Sculpture and Quarry Trust and went on to train at City of Bath College.

Dale Johnson began carving stone while an undergraduate as an apprentice to the Kenyan sculptor John Odoch-Ameny. Since that time (1987) he has had the opportunity to work with artists and craftsmen from around the world. He formed his own stone carving/sculpture business in Columbus, Ohio, in 1991. His commissions have run the gamut from the very classical and traditional to the outrageous. Specializing in an imaginative interpretation of the client's vision filtered through his own well-versed sensibility, Mr. Johnson offers a unique and fun opportunity for the client who wants to work in conjunction with a skilled craftsman.

We specialize in figurative marble sculpture and sculpture restoration. My pieces are only vaguely planned. I prefer to see what happens as I sculpt with feeling and expectation. Right now my work tends to show the human form more than say architectural, animal or other elements in nature such as trees and rocks. I am assuming this format will change as I grow and change. I like to bring my pieces to a high level of refinement in form but not focus upon brilliant polishing or elaborate bases and pedestals. I continue to study through the classical displines of drawing and clay modelling from life as I believe increased ability allows us to express ourselves more thoroughly.
